Description

Ideal for a wide range of near and midfield applications, the COMPACT C 32 Two-Way Loudspeaker from RCF is a professional, passive speaker with 600W RMS of power handling and numerous mounting points for everything from flown-, wall-, or truss-mount rigging with optional accessories. Sporting one 1.4" compression driver with a 3" neodymium voice coil and a 12" woofer with a 3.5" voice coil, this speaker delivers plenty of projection and the constant-directivity, rotatable waveguide provides coherent coverage of 100 x 50° with distortion-free sound up to a high max SPL of 137 dB.

The C 32 is constructed from high-quality birch plywood with a steel grille and features Neutrik NL4 speakON plugs in the rear for input and output. With compatibility for numerous vertical or horizontal mounting techniques, a wide frequency response of 54 Hz to 20 kHz, and a compact design that doesn't sacrifice accurate speech or music reproduction, the C 32 is a smart choice for installed sound in commercial or retail spaces, live venues, mobile sound systems, or any application that requires efficient, high-output speakers that take up as little real estate as possible.

Note: A 1200W amplifier is recommended for this loudspeaker.

Superior Transducers

Lightweight and powerful, RCF transducers feature advanced materials, such as neodymium magnets and pure titanium diaphragms. Both drivers and woofers are designed by RCF's engineers in Italy for maximum reliability and perfectly matched components.

High frequencies: the compression driver's voice-coil design with titanium dome provides very natural sound with high power handling and the best durability over time. This allows lowering the usual crossover point for a perfect vocal performance at mid frequencies, also improving coupling with the low-frequency transducer.
Low frequencies: low-frequency transducer's design gains more stability over higher currents, with less distortion, and is highly efficient in terms of heat dissipation. RCF's quality control is very strict. Woofers are tested with a 200-hour continuous signal to stress the transducer at extreme levels.

Constant-Directivity Waveguide

The special waveguide's design allows the deployment of COMPACT C speakers with accurate control of the directional characteristics. In difficult acoustic environments, intelligibility is significantly increased. The speaker also features a 100 x 50° rotatable constant-directivity waveguide. Using the optional HN-KIT COMPACT C 32 accessory, it is possible to replace the speaker horn with two different horns and change directivity to 100 x 25° or 60 x 25°.

Advanced Electroacoustics

The advanced design of COMPACT C speakers is the result of several refinements in transducers, crossovers, and vented ports design. The internal crossover frequency is set at a lower frequency than usual, resulting in a clear and accurate vocal reproduction, carefully protected by an Dynamic Active MOSFET circuitry. With the advanced design and sound shaping of the waveguide, the speaker provides constant directivity and perfect coverage to the entire listening area.

Long-Lasting Durability

The solid, balanced birch plywood cabinet achieves minimal distortion, ideal for highly demanding installed applications. The cabinet uses a special textured polyurea coating for its scratch-resistant properties, also lasting longer than traditional coatings. The grille cover is heavy-duty steel protecting both transducers and vented ports.

Combining high-quality birch plywood cabinets with a 100 x 50° rotatable constant directivity waveguide, the speaker can be installed either horizontally or vertically. The sleek cabinet features a robust polyurea coating and is easy to be flown-, wall-, or truss-mounted using the multiple rigging points available and optional accessories. The back panel provides two Neutrik speakON NL4 (4-pole) plugs.
