Description
The Tracklink Microphone to USB Interface from Hosa Technology is a USB audio interface in the form of a 10-foot cable which lets you connect a dynamic or condenser microphone directly to your computer's USB port. The cable has a female XLR on one end a USB Type A connector on the other and supports 16-bit 48 kHz audio.
Less than 10 inches down from the XLR jack is a control section that houses the analog-to-digital converter. On the outside of it is a rotary gain control which is handy for boosting the level of dynamic mics. Also provided is a switch to turn on the 48V phantom power which enables the use of condenser mics.
The unit also has two indicator LEDs: one shows when the phantom power is on and the other labeled Record lights when audio is being transmitted through the cable.
