Description

Experience outstanding playability and exceptional sound quality with the Strata Core from Alesis, an 8-piece electronic drum kit that conserves much-needed space without sacrificing a natural playing experience. With a powerful drum module sporting a vast library of pro-recorded drum kits, Strata Core punches well above its weight.

Drum hardware includes a 12" dual-zone snare that supports rim shots and rim clicks, two 8" toms, a 10" floor tom, and an 8" kick drum tower that supports single or double kick pedals (kick pedal sold separately). All drum pads feature realistic mesh heads with patented anti-hotspot sensors. The kit comes with two 12" crash cymbals, one 14" ride, and one active magnetic 12" hi-hat (hi-hat stand sold separately). All ARC cymbals sport 360° sensors and triple-zone playability. Along with the drum pads and cymbals, the Strata Core includes a durable steel 4-post rack, a hi-hat clutch, a hi-hat controller, a snare stand, a module mount, a trigger cable snake, screws, a cymbal boom arm, a drum key, and a power adapter.

Realistic Drum Pads with Outstanding Playability

A dual-zone snare drum with independent sounds triggered on the head, rim click, and rim shot, along with two 8” and toms and one 10" tom. An 8” kick drum provides an ample playing surface, suitable for all varieties of single and double kick-drum pedals.

The tension can be adjusted on all mesh heads, letting you set the exact level of rebound and expressiveness to your preference. Unnatural and unwanted hotspots on the heads are eliminated with a unique patented anti-hotspot sensor design.

Note: The Strata Core kit does not include a kick pedal.

ARC Cymbals

Strata Core’s ARC cymbals are exceptionally sensitive with a beautifully lathed surface. All three cymbals—the 14” ride and two 12” crashes—are triple-zone designs with different sounds triggered on the bell, bow, and edge of each cymbal.

They’re all 360° responsive, so that you can play anywhere throughout the cymbal and mount on standard acoustic arm mounts, which allows them to respond and swing naturally without restrictions. All cymbals have dual-edge sensors and profiles that allow incredible expressiveness without having to adjust your technique.

Active Magnetic Hi-Hat

The 12” Active Magnetic hi-hat is a superbly playable magnetic, stand-mounted system. Like the cymbals, this triple-zone 360° playing surface is extremely responsive.

Magnetic position sensing ensures that pedal movements are translated in high resolution, meaning the contactless system is unmatched in its accuracy. This module-powered unit can be used with a wide variety of hi-hat stands and playing techniques.

Note: The Strata Core kit does not include a hi-hat stand.

Sturdy and Flexible Hardware

The backbone of Strata Core is a curved steel rack where the toms, cymbals, and module are mounted. Sturdy but flexible, it allows for spacious and compact footprints, so you can adjust the kit to your ideal playing position for your setup.

The ARC hi-hats mount to any hi-hat stand, and the 8" kick tower can accommodate any single or double pedal configuration. Crash and ride cymbals can be mounted to standard acoustic cymbal stands and are not bound to the rackmounts.

Alesis Core Electronic: the best of the Alesis Strike Multipad one-shot electronic drum sounds that are great for layering with acoustic drum samples
BFD Percussion: a diverse collection of percussion sounds across BFD’s classic percussion packs

Online Lessons and Software

The Strata Core kit includes a 90-day free subscription to Drumeo to help you rapidly refine or improve your drum skills. The included BFD Player desktop application comes with a virtual drum expansion pack and makes it easier than ever to customize your electronic drums or integrate them into a studio setup.
